Aptitude Test — What Makes It Different From JEE/NEET

The KVPY aptitude test doesn't just check if you know formulas — it tests whether you think like a scientist. Questions require you to apply concepts in unfamiliar contexts, interpret experimental data, and draw logical conclusions.

• Part A: 15 questions per subject (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology) — attempt 20 of 60
• Part B: 5 questions per subject — attempt 10 of 20. These are harder and carry more marks
• No calculator allowed — numerical estimation skills are essential
• Questions often involve real-world scenarios: "What happens if you change this variable?"
• Diagram-based questions test interpretation, not just labelling
